Please take note: they only accept cash or check. They don't accept credit cards. However, it is well WORTH stopping off at the bank or ATM to dine here. Also keep in mind, their hours of operation, as they are a breakfast, lunch, brunch dining establishment.
Now for my review...
I haven't visited in awhile, but wanted a recent transplant to dine and see this place before moving back to Chicago. The food is ALWAYS delicious, the service is great and the decor charming and festive, especially during the holidays. The owners go all out, especially in the ladies Bathroom. IYKYK The cakes and muffins are the most flavorful I've had, as are the unique drinks. The minted lemonade with a splash of raspberry was nearly on every table, including ours. We both ordered the tea sandwiches with soup. My dining companion ordered the ham salad and egg salad with Gazpacho and a Blueberry Muffin...and I had the salmon salad and Tuna salad with Sweet Potato Soup with Orange Cranberry muffin... with fruit garnish... we both tried each others...EVERYTHING was delicious.
We were both full but decided to grab a slice of their Banana Cake to go, to eat later...Banana Cake with banana creamcheese frosting layered with fresh bananas. YUM! Their cakes are a little pricey, but for homemade, it was so worth it to treat ourselves.
Phillip, one of the two owners came to our table and we had a nice chat about Boca and how much has changed. Then he got back to work and I noticed him beckon to the Amazon driver upon walking in, to come to the back counter. He offered him a muffin and a drink. The young Amazon driver walked out with a big smile on his face. When a business owner cares about a delivery driver its so kind and heartwarming to see and of course inspires me to support this cafe EVEN MORE!!
Do yourself a favor and come in for lunch or Brunch, bring some friends. This place is charming and everything they serve is delicious. There is sometimes a wait for a table because its not a large place, but WELL WORTH the wait.
Don't forget to check out the bathroom (holidays), especially if you have kids or are a Big Kid yourself. Its MAGICAL! đ„°đđȘâš
P.S. Parking is a bit tricky, due to the small narrow parking lot. Better to street park.
The staff there were super friendly and sweet! I live an hour away from the Cafe so I'm glad that me and my family chose this Cafe to go to when we wanted to explore. The food was amazing, they cook everything from scratch and nothing tasted processed. Their desserts were also great, as well as their soups! My family and I would love to come back again soon!
Girlfriend and I visited this location on Monday, January the 15th 2023. As expected, the place was full. The menu is easy to understand and our waitress took the time needed to mention the popular choices. During our meal, we had a very pleasant conversion with one of the owners who took the time to make sure all our needs were met as well as share some of his experience about our home country, Canada.
He even showed us a special room in his restaurant.
The homemade food was absolutely delicious.
The muffins will be eaten during tonightâs meal.
The reviews donât lie. Canât recommend this place enough!
The most cute Cafe in Boca. They only open a few hours a day, no cards accepted and is hard to park the car. However, it worth it. The food is good and super nice staff. They surprise my friend with a beautifully decorated cake. Delicious tea and Lemonade.

We arrived early enough to beat the crowds that waited for tables shortly after we sat down at an outdoor table. I loved this small, charming cash-only cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating, a short walk from downtown.
Very friendly service with multiple staff servicing every table.
Everything was fresh and all the entrees at the nearby tables looked fabulous and makes me want to come back and try other items.
We ordered Raspberry Iced Tea and a regular Iced Tea. We enjoyed it with a Salad Platter with Curried Chicken Salad and a House-made Banana Muffin and a special of the day Grilled Chicken Salad Platter with Blue Cheese, Walnuts and Apples and a House-made Blueberry Muffin.
Everything was tasty and fresh with a large portion. The muffins were moist, but a reasonable size; more old-school than what you normally get nowadays. The baked treat was the perfect size to complement the salad, so we left feeling full, but not stuffed.
On our waitress' recommendation, we shared a piece of the signature Banana Cake. The cake was moist and flavorful and the icing was perfect, but not too sweet.
The restroom was a treat, since it's decorated excessively for the holidays and changes to celebrate each occasion. The whole cafe felt honey and welcoming.

From the fresh flowers on the table to the expertly prepared delicious food, your visit here will not disappoint. We came here on the recommendation of not one, but two coworkers who both raved about it.
When we arrived on a rainy Monday afternoon we found no tables available inside, so we waited because like others, we didnât want to risk getting wet by sitting outside. However, we didnât need to wait very long, and were soon seated at a table by the front window.
Everything is made in-house, and it definitely shows in the quality and taste of the food. We got the curry chicken sandwich and a spinach quiche. Both were top-notch! The chicken curry sandwich came with coleslaw which was also absolutely delicious!
Theyâve been around for 28 years, and you can tell that they know what theyâre doing when it comes to making delicious food that you will want to come back for.
Parking is challenging, so be prepared to walk about a block if you donât get the coveted front spot.
Before we left, we shared our YouTube channel with one of the servers who loves dogs and said she would visit Basenji Adventures.
Tin Muffin! One of my favorite lunch spots in Boca hands down. The food is homemade and tastes amazing, the owners and staff are so friendly, they treat everyone like family. The place runs like a finely tuned Swiss watch even when itâs extremely busy which is usually the case, but Iâve always been able to get a table pretty quickly. I canât recommend it enough, if you havenât tried it already, itâs a must! Best chicken/tuna salad you can get your hands on. P.S. donât forget to bring cash/check. No credit cards accepted.
The coffee âïž is delicious here! Nice little place pay by cash âŠ. Might have been the holiday weekend but they certainly could use more help. Menu written out on a chalk boat ( personally love it) I only had the blueberry muffin with my coffee bot were outstanding đ, everything on every other table look spectacular. Be prepared to walk from around the block.
